ST36

Zusanli — Leg Three Miles

ST36 is one of the most important points in TCM, classically known as a major point for supporting Qi, digestion, and overall vitality. Its nickname — Leg Three Miles — refers to the legend that stimulating it could give a tired traveler enough energy to walk three more miles.

Where to find it

Below the knee, on the outer edge of the shinbone, approximately four finger-widths below the kneecap.

Find the outer edge of your shin below the knee. Place four fingers below the kneecap — ST36 is at the level of your bottom finger, just outside the shin.
