Find a Medical Acupuncturist (MD/DO)

Medical Acupuncturists are licensed physicians (MDs and DOs) who have completed post-graduate training in acupuncture through programs such as the Helms Medical Institute or other AAMA-recognized courses. They integrate acupuncture into conventional medical practice and are one of the few provider types eligible to bill Medicare for acupuncture treatment of chronic low back pain (as of 2020). Ideal if you want acupuncture within a traditional medical setting or need to use Medicare.
