Neck / Base of Skull

GB20

Fengchi — Wind Pool

GB20 is located at the base of the skull where the neck muscles attach. In TCM theory it is a key point for releasing exterior pathogenic factors — classically used for the onset of cold and flu symptoms as well as neck tension and headaches.

Where to find it

At the base of the skull, in the two hollows on either side of the spine, where the neck muscles meet the skull.

Place both thumbs at the base of your skull on either side of the central ridge — GB20 is in the soft hollows there.
